Wow, This has been an amazing test! I want you to know that there is no way in the world an iPhone4 could replace the Nikon D700. I had to hold the iPhone4 very still while taking this shot. Another interesting fact is that the iPhone4 registered an f-stop of f2.4, while the Nikon was shot at f9! As Steve explained in one of the comments, the sensor inside the iPhone4 is smaller, thus can not produce the depth of field that the Nikon can with it big sensor. Obviously though, the Nikon still has more depth of field. Crazy.
